Reset Your Server Password

Lost your server password? You can generate a new, secure root password for your Linux VPS in about a minute from the client area. You don't need to reinstall or contact support, and your data stays intact.

How to reset your password

  1. Log in to the client area.
  2. Find your server and check that its status is Active, then click it to open the management page.
  3. Click Reset Server Password. A new password is set directly on your server through the KVM hypervisor without touching your files.
  4. Wait 1 to 2 minutes. The new password is emailed to your registered email address. If it doesn't arrive, check your Spam or Junk folder.

Frequently asked questions

Will resetting my password delete my data?
No. Only the root password changes. Your files, software and configuration stay exactly as they were.

I reset my password but still can't log in.
Your IP address may be temporarily blocked by the server's firewall after too many failed login attempts. Use the VNC Console in your server control panel to log in directly.

Does this work on every operating system?
Yes. The automated reset works on all supported distributions, including Ubuntu, Debian and AlmaLinux.
