Server Control Panel Overview

While the client area handles your account and payments, the server control panel gives you direct control over your Linux VPS.

Opening the control panel

  1. Log in to the client area and click Manage on the server you want to control.
  2. On the product details page, click the Control Panel button. It opens in a new tab, so allow pop-ups for dash.evevps.com if your browser blocks it.

1. Overview

  • Power controls: Boot, Shutdown, Restart or Power Off your server.
  • Reinstall OS: Wipe your server and install a fresh operating system.
  • Live statistics: CPU usage, memory and inbound/outbound network traffic.

2. Media

  • CD/DVD-ROM: Mount or unmount ISO files, such as custom installers or rescue disks.
  • Boot order: Choose whether the server boots from its disk or the mounted media first.

3. Options

  • VNC Console: Out-of-band access that works like a monitor plugged into your server. Use it to fix network lockouts or run custom OS installs.
  • Rescue Mode: Boot into a temporary rescue environment.
  • Password: Reset your server's root password.

4. Network

  • IP details: MAC address, gateway, netmask and interface speed.
  • Reverse DNS (rDNS): Set a custom PTR record (hostname) for your IPv4 address.
  • DNS resolvers: Change the public DNS resolvers your server uses.

5. Storage

View your attached SSD storage devices and their allocated sizes.

6. Sharing

Give another user access to manage your server without sharing your billing login. Enter their Sharing Token and click Grant Access. Your own token is in the Account Profile section of your dashboard.
